Laura has worked in the finance and charitable sector for over 20 years. She initially worked in banking, qualifying as a Financial Advisor in 2010. Before moving across to the third sector where she worked for a Cancer Support Charity using her financial knowledge, combined with a passion for supporting people in need, to appeal declined insurance and pension claims. Laura later moved on to become a technical specialist in this area and helped train and develop other people to form appeals and complaints on behalf of cancer patients who had been unfairly declined on their insurance and pension claims.

Laura co-founded Appeal Avenue following being diagnosed with a disability herself.
